The Tugun Satellite Hospital ¨C co-named Banyahrmabah ¨C on the southern Gold Coast is expanding its services with the introduction of the Kidney Dialysis Clinic and the The Women, Newborn, and Children's Clinic.

Pharmacy Services at Tugun Satellite Hospital are also now open on weekdays, providing dispensing services to patients within the facility and to patients managed by Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) and Robina Hospital specialist outpatient services.?

The new cohort of junior doctors will spend two-years rotating across various disciplines throughout Gold Coast University Hospital.

Project Officer Stacey Paton has dedicated the past two years to helping bring Tugun Satellite Hospital to life. With the doors of its Minor Injury and Illness Clinic now open 8am-10pm, seven days per week, Stacey is enjoying the satisfaction of seeing the project from concept to delivery.

We are incredibly proud of our high-performing Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) Trauma Service team, and if proof of their excellence is required, the 2023 Australia and New Zealand Trauma Society (ANZTS) awards certainly provided it.?

¡®Lucky¡¯ probably isn¡¯t the first word that comes to mind when you look at motorcycle enthusiast, Trevor, nursing injuries from head-to-toe.
But this chatty Irishman considers himself the luckiest man alive because he has access to the award-winning Trauma Centre team that he credits with saving his life.

If you are a Gold Coast Health staff member, you will have done the Speaking Up For Safety (SUFS) Program and would know the Safety C.O.D.E.

The program has been mandatory training since its inception seven years ago, in which time more than 19,500 people have completed the training delivered by volunteer facilitators.

And there for all that time, organising behind the scenes, has been Lisa Roach. Assistant Project Officer with Medical Services and Clinical Governance, Lisa started with Gold Coast Health when the Professionalism Programs were implemented.
